Weighwell
Roger Tipple worked with Paul Horsfall of Weighwell to develop his revolutionary idea: a portable train weigher. Previously trains had to travel many miles to be weighed on expensive, static weighing systems. This invention allowed a weigher to be installed and operational in minutes just where it was needed. It is accurate and convenient, capable of being carried in sections by two men and transported in the boot of a car. It gained rail network approvals and rapidly achieved hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of domestic and international sales for a small Wakefield company. This Millennium Product used both SMART and European Regional Development Funding to create jobs and turnover in the Company and its local supply chain.
Weighwell have now approached Tipple Associates Limited to assist with their next product development. Details of this are confidential until the product has been released.
